SPC Flooring

From benchmark product
to a commercial collection.

Euro Vietnam develops SPC flooring around the product brief, target market and commercial position, then works with the Vietnamese manufacturer suited to that programme. The starting point can be an existing product, a technical specification, a physical sample or a collection that still needs to be defined.

Collection & Sample Development

Compare the Complete Offer

Two 5 mm / 0.55 mm floors
can be different commercial products.

The headline thickness and wear layer do not tell the whole story. Core construction and density, wear-layer specification, decorative film, surface, backing, locking profile and packing can differ. So can MOQ, decor mix, tooling, payment, lead time and the assumptions behind the quoted price.

Construction

What is actually being made? The build-up, materials, profile, backing and packing need to be reviewed on the same basis.

Collection

What will the customer see and buy? Decor, colour, gloss, texture, embossing, bevel, format and approved visual references need to work as one range.

Commercial basis

What sits behind the unit price? MOQ, mix, tooling, terms, sample basis, packing and timing can change the real position.

Factory fit

Who can execute this programme well? Product experience, development speed, technical depth, communication and commercial fit matter alongside price.

Product Development

The product comes
before the catalogue.

The work begins with the customer and market position: what the product must look like, how it will be sold, which performance and documentation requirements apply, and where the collection needs to sit commercially.

Set the product basis

Use the benchmark sample, technical data and target to define the construction, format and points that cannot move.

Build the collection

Develop decor and surface direction, gloss, embossing or EIR, bevel, format and the reference samples that will control later decisions.

Resolve practical details

Confirm the locking system, backing, carton, pallet, labels and collection mix with the selected construction and factory. Any applicable locking licence is confirmed for that final combination.

Record the approval

Approved samples and technical decisions become the current reference for production. Later changes are recorded as changes, not allowed to replace the original agreement silently.

Factory Fit

A strong SPC factory can still be
the wrong factory for the programme.

One manufacturer may be highly competitive in straight plank at scale. Another may be stronger in herringbone, a particular surface, flexible collection quantities, tooling or sample development. A respected factory can still be less responsive, less competitive or technically unsuitable for one requirement.

Euro Vietnam uses its manufacturing network to choose the factory for the product in front of the client. A collection can be divided across manufacturers when formats require different strengths, and a credible second option can be kept open where timing or development remains uncertain.

The point is not to collect the most quotations. It is to make a reasoned choice and retain a practical alternative when the work calls for one.

Product, Packing & Release Continuity

From Sample to Production

The approved sample must remain
the production reference.

The reference sample, specification, comments and later revisions need to stay connected as the product moves from factory sales to technical, production, packing and inspection teams.

Approved reference

Construction, decor, surface, gloss, texture, bevel, profile and packing references are recorded so production can be checked against the current approval.

Changes during production

Material, tooling, profile, timing and packing changes are made visible and taken back to the right decision-maker before they become the new normal.

Product-specific PSI

Where pre-shipment inspection forms part of the work, the checklist can cover agreed construction, dimensions, joint or locking checks, visual standard, backing, packing and acceptance criteria. Measurements, photographs and signed findings provide a reviewable basis for the client’s release decision.

PSI supports a release decision. It does not replace factory production control or the client’s own acceptance criteria.

Typical Development Variables

Common variables.
One specific final product.

These are common areas of SPC development, not a universal catalogue. The final product and available options are confirmed against the selected factory, construction and target market.

Starting Point

Start with the product you have—or the one you need.

Send a technical data sheet, reference sample, current quotation, collection brief or target product. We can establish what still needs to be defined, which Vietnamese manufacturers are relevant and what a useful comparison should include.
